"Say cheeseeee...",the photographer asked all of them to pose for their
class picture . For one last time..All dressed in robes and caps. A
picture that could take everybody to a nostalgic world." Three cheers to
3Bcom B , Hip Hip Hurray!Hip Hip Hurray! Hip Hip Hurray! ", they
cheered for one last time for their class. They slowly dispersed after
all the selfie sessions.
While these 2 cute friends had not finished their episode of teasing
each other till she almost cried. They had travelled from corners of the world to attend their convocation and relive those moments
of their 3 years' journey. They had planned their future in different
countries too. And it was time for them to say goodbye for one last
time.
He hugged her tight.
She was almost in tears and said " I will
miss you monkey".
All that was running in his mind was "I can't control
anymore. Can't control myself from saying those three magical, golden
words. Every time you came close to me, my heart skipped a beat. Every
time you looked into my eyes, I was lost in your world. Could see nothing
else. Every time you held my hands, I wanted you to walk with me
forever. Every time you laughed, I wanted you to be with me for all my
joys and sorrows. Every time you spoke about your ex, I wanted to tell
you that you're just mine from now. Every time you hugged me, I wanted
you all to myself. I'm feeling the same now. Should I say it or not? Did
you feel the same for me? Will you leave me if I say it to you? Why
don't you understand yourself what I'm feeling for you cuz nobody has ever
understood me like you. I'm dying every minute without knowing what to
tell. If not now I might never get to say it ever". He was in pain and clueless and said " I'll miss you more mental" wanting her in
his life for one more time. They parted and continued their journey of
life.
One sided love could be too painful. More painful than break ups. We never know how to convey things and what the consequences would be.
With the fear of losing that person we remain silent forever. There can be nothing more hurting than those words left unsaid.
"So cooool bro! Your life is all settled now. You're so lucky you've
such encouraging parents. They do everything for you. We are not so
lucky like you, we have to do things unwillingly. Anyways bro don't
forget me once you go there. Tc". He received a text from his old school
friend on his way to the Airport. He smiled reading it and thinking of
the truth and how his life had been perceived by people.
He replied " Haha. Thanks bro. Will surely not forget. Will Skype you".
He got down from his Maserati while his driver assisted him in unloading the luggage and waved a good bye to him.
He finished his formalities and sat down till his flight arrived. An
old man sat next to him. They exchanged smiles initially and the
conversation began.
"Your good name Hero?", the old man asked. " Rahul, Rahul Vivek Gupta", he said.
“ Myself Gopinath. So where are you flying to?", the old man inquired. "London", he replied.
“Oh well, so both of us can even travel together. I’m going there
too. It's a very expensive place. I’m going there to visit my cousin. He
mints money there.”, the old man shared his little knowledge about the
place.
He further questioned “So what's your purpose of travel ?"
“I'm going there to study and might settle there”, he answered it
again, for the 999th time since he had decided to leave India.
“So you must be a rich chap.Hmmm… By the way did you say Vivek Gupta ? I
think I've heard it somewhere. What exactly does your dad do ?", the
old man asked him curiously.
" Business” , Rahul replied
“What business ?”, the old man asked
“He owns the Gupta group of companies” , he said wishing for the conversation to end soon.
“Woaww! So you must be having a royal life. We all dream to live like
you and struggle our whole lives striving to experience luxury”, the old
man expressed his dissatisfaction towards his life and then quickly
paying attention to the announcements, they both headed towards their
flight as it had just arrived.
Rahul was not surprised as he always had conversations with similar responses.
Rahul ensured that the old man was not sitting anywhere close to him.
Meanwhile, a beautiful young girl was directed towards the seat vacant
next to him by the cabin crew. She introduced herself and then the
conversation began. " You look very handsome so how many girls have you
dated till now?10-20? Isn't it ?”, she began her conversation adding
humor to it.
He laughed.
“Was the count too less ?”, she continued .
“No”, he said and gave a sharp look.
On the arrival of the food the girl was lost in satisfying the cravings of her stomach.
He was lost, lost in his world of reality. While the whole world
dreams to lead a life like him, he wanted to escape from it. And his
escape route was London. He had millions of words unsaid.
How
could he tell his old school friend that the mother whom he had when he
was in school had been replaced with a modern young step mother? How
could he tell the old man that Vivek Gupta had only money for his son
and the royal life that he was given could not heal his mental pain. How
could he tell the girl that the only girl whom he had taught would give
him unconditional love had loved him only for money and had left him
shattered ?
A lot of us wish to lead our lives like others.
Sometime like the ones that we idolize. But we never know the struggle,
the pain, and the humiliations that they are undergoing. Appearances
could be deceiving.
Every random passerby is living a life as vivid and
complex as our own—populated with their own ambitions, friends,
routines, worries and inherited craziness. With passageways to thousands
of other lives that we never know existed, in which we might appear
only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of
traffic passing on the highway.
The so called "perfect" life is not
perfect. It is mostly perfectly flawed. Instead of being judgmental or
trying to crib about things which we don’t have a control of, we could
try building a meaningful life and it could magically lead us to the place
that we deserve to be in.
